About Me

Hi I’m Wendy– Welcome to my website!
I love fitness, yoga, and all things wellness and just plain moving!
I thrive on inspiring others in their journey to living fit and well!
My Teaching Style
Having originated from the fitness “field” first then into yoga/pilates and through many years of teaching/coaching experience my teaching/coaching style continues to adapt and evolve.
I believe teaching is not a spectator sport and my approach is about teaching/coaching to what I see/learn from my participants. My classes may not be instructed “traditionally” all the time because I want to take into account the bodies that I see and the needs/well-being of my participants. I try to consistently offer a class/program that’s inclusive /open and offers many adaptations as a rule. I am always willing to learn and change from year to year -which is exciting. Join me in this journey!
My approach is strongly rooted in how the body moves (kinesiology/anatomy principles) naturally and through all my programs and coaching -this is what I strive to deliver to my participants – keeping their individual needs/abilities in mind – especially as we age. I believe learning how to move well and naturally is a way to honor your body and hopefully help to reduce injuries.

My Story
I was first introduced to “fitness” when my only older sister “dragged” me to an “aerobics” class in the early 90’s. I wanted to support my sister’s endeavours but I truly didn’t think I would like it. Was I wrong! Turns out I stayed and she didn’t. I loved the classes- the atmosphere, the social support and having the opportunity to move and have fun!
Not long after, I was encouraged by that teacher to take a fitness instructor course. I was hesitant, but thought – why not! Little did I know then that this was to be my lifelong career!
I have not looked back and am truly grateful for the last 28 years+ to inspire, motivate and get people to start living fit and healthy in the Oromocto/Fredericton area!
I’ve always wanted to change the way people thought about fitness! Make it fun, educational, diverse and offer a challenging experience. I taught fitness classes for years but noticed a gap in the delivery and developed a fully comprehensive Fitness program that people can build their commitment and accountability to. So I launched Fit Camp in 2005 to get people out of their traditional gym routines and to think outside the box. and get outside too!
I strive to offer the safest and most effective evidence based programming for all my clients while providing an experience that is fun and educational!
I later turned to personal training to further inspire people and still love assessing and coaching people individually.
I later trained and certified as a Yoga Teacher (200hr +) (Sivananda ,Vinyasa ,Warrior, Restore). Not long after – I honed my teaching skills and movement foundations with Pilates Teacher Training and have developed my own signature program: CentreFit.
